Pinto Creek Hike.

Rain is welcomed this year in Washington, but I would have been happier if it would have held off for a few more hours.

Pinto Creek

Not the easiest creek I have ever walked.

I needed some quiet time, so headed into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest to do some renewing of spirit. ?I have been to Pinto Creek in the past and knew that I could find some nice jasper. ?I was not disappointed.

Jasper

A small sampling of the material I found.

The last time I was here the creek did not seem so hard to hike. ?This time It appeared to be quite overgrown.

Pinto Creek

Log jambs and brush galore.

I bulled my way through, around, and over logs and brush in the rain and was rewarded with some really nice material. ?I also regained some inner peace and sore muscles.

Two hours after starting out I slogged my way back to the truck and headed home.

Thanks for joining me.
