Rain is welcomed this year in Washington, but I would have been happier if it would have held off for a few more hours.
I needed some quiet time, so headed into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest to do some renewing of spirit. I have been to Pinto Creek in the past and knew that I could find some nice jasper. I was not disappointed.
The last time I was here the creek did not seem so hard to hike. This time It appeared to be quite overgrown.
I bulled my way through, around, and over logs and brush in the rain and was rewarded with some really nice material. I also regained some inner peace and sore muscles.
Two hours after starting out I slogged my way back to the truck and headed home.
Thanks for joining me.
