Scott and I decided to head for the claim today. ?It was a snap decision and one we agreed was pretty good.
We didn’t leave until after 8:00am and had to make a few stops so we finally got to the claim around 11:00am. ?The weather was on the cool side, but that was fine with us since we didn’t want to get to over heated.
I wanted to check out an area where I had found some interesting float on one of my previous trips, and since Scott is still recuperating he just hung around the jump off landing. ?It took me about 45 minutes to reach the area I wanted to search. ?Along the way I noticed a number of beautiful wild flowers.
After looking and digging in the mud for about an hour I finally gave up and headed back to the landing. ?Along the way I stopped at another seam I had found earlier and picked up a few pieces of decent agate.
I made it back to the landing after about an hour and found Scott sacked out resting.
We then loaded up our gear and headed back to the truck.
It was a short day but relaxing and well worth the effort.
Thanks for joining us.

Hello,
Apologies if I missed this somewhere, but where can one find Tahoma agate?
Thanks!
Daniel
Daniel: The Tahoma agate site is under a mining claim and not open to collecting without permission. You can contact me and I can sell you some material.
