Access to the Lucas Creek and Adna sites are currently closed due to destructive rockhounding activities.
This turned out to be our last day, and we spent it hiking over mostly barren ground, fighting off wild ticks, and trying to stay hydrated. Our camp was comfortable enough, but it was pretty far from the areas we wanted to check out.
Day 4 camp was in a nice grove of trees.
Today dawned bright and clear. We decided that Garry and Mark would head back to the agate site and I would hike around the mountains and up a creek . I would meet up with Garry and Mark at noon, and we would pick up material before heading back to camp.
The creek I hiked up managed to have just as much agate as the previous days site, but it also contained lots of petrified wood and jasper pieces.
Dry as a bone.
